BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Xiaoyan Jiang is a Distinguished Scientist in the Terry Fox Laboratory of the BC Cancer Research Centre, a Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics and an Associate Member in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Medical Genetics of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, review articles and book chapters. She is serving as Editorial Board member and as reviewer for many peer reviewed journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Xiaoyan Jiang’s research interests are focused on basic and translational research of molecular properties of leukemic stem cells that contribute to the development of leukemia and drug resistance and she has pioneered efforts to develop new therapeutic approaches to directly target these critical cells.
