BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Bonghee Lee is currently the professor and director of the Center for Genomics and Proteomics and joint Center for Regenerative Medicine with Sigma-Aldrich at Gachon University. He received his DVM and PhD from Seoul National University. He enrolled for two years as postdoc and visiting professor at University of Pennsylvania, USA. In addition to his responsibilities at Gachon University, he is the co-chair of HUPO’s Human Stem Cell Proteome Initiative, President of the Korean Human Proteome Organization and a board member of the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research. He is also a member of Science Advisory Board for Regenerative Medicine Division of Sigma-Aldrich.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Bonghee Lee’s research interests include functional proteomics and systems biology of stem cell biology and clinical application. He uses mass spectrometry for identifying lineage specific biomarkers in hESC, iPSC or adult stem cells and gene editing technologies such as ZFN, CRISPR/Cas9 system to generate safe and efficient gene modified stem cells.
