BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Jonathan Scott Harrison is currently working as professor of Medicine in University of Missouri, United States. He is also working as Adjunct Faculty Member in Graduate School of Biomedical Science at Rutgers, NJ. He completed his education from The University of Illinois, Chicago. He received many certifications for Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology Hematology in the year 1987 and 1989 respectively.
Dr. Jonathan Scott Harrison received many awards and honors: Commander’s Award for Public Service from the Department of the Army (80th TASS) in 2012. He is acting as Editorial Board Member and Peer Reviewer of many peer reviewed journals and authored many books, book chapters and articles.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Dr. Jonathan Scott Harrison’s research interests include Normal and abnormal hematopoiesis, examining the role of the cyclin regulator p35Nck5a and the Cdk5 & MAP Kinase pathways in myeloid leukemias response to Vitamin D analog treatment (co-investigator for NIH grant RO1 CA44722-21), clinical trials in Hematologic Malignancies and investigational treatment of Hematologic disorders, and in new therapies and clinical aspects of the Sickling Hemoglobinopathies.
