BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Huaizhen Qin is an assistant professor, holding a PhD degree in Theoretical Statistics and a PhD degree in Mathematical Sciences. His career goal is to develop efficient solutions for timely and important data analytic problems in Biology Sciences and foster next-generation Biostatisticians.He have formally digested extensive knowledge of and made major research efforts in Next-generation sequenc-ing, Genetic Epidemiology, Statistical Genetics, Microarray Experiments, Econometrics and Survey Sampling. He have been involved in developing statistical methods and computa-tional toolkits (1) for identifying susceptibility genetic variants of complex human diseases, (2) for ana-lyzing microarray data in small- and large-replicate experiments, (3) for addressing sensitivity analysis in econometrics and (4) for designing nationwide surveys.
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Statistical genetics, computational biology, causal inference, survey sampling
