BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Miyuru Chandradasa is an academic faculty member of the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. At present he is in overseas leave in Victoria Australia, working as an Honorary Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences of the Monash University and as a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry in Gippsland Victoria. He was the winner of the Bobby Somasundaram Gold Medal in 2012 and the Andrew Sims Gold Medal in 2015 for excellence in postgraduate Psychiatry in Sri Lanka. Miyuru has also won the Peter and Mabel Cooray Gold Medal for best scientific research in Psychiatry in 2014. He has published on various topics in child and adolescent psychiatry and general psychiatry in numerous international journals. During the year of 2017, he has published 11 peer-reviewed journal publications as the first author including 8 indexed publications.
